CBS'S "LATE SHOW with DAVID LETTERMAN" SHOWCASES TOP VENTRILOQUIST TALENT WHEN THE SHOW FEATURES "VENTRILOQUIST WEEK," SEPT. 18 THROUGH SEPT. 22

CBS Late Night Broadcast to Highlight Performances from Entertainers Such as Willie Tyler and "Lester," and Jay Johnson and "Darwin" The LATE SHOW with DAVID LETTERMAN will showcase the best in ventriloquist talent when the show features "Ventriloquist Week," Monday, Sept. 18-Friday, Sept. 22 (11:35 PM-12:37 AM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network. "All your favorite ventriloquists, all your top ventriloquism stars -- five big nights of ventriloquism, right here," said Letterman on Monday's broadcast. "It's going to be fantastic, ladies and gentlemen. Circle your TV Guide, call your neighbors, and maybe you want to have a clergyman standing by." On Monday, Sept. 18, ventriloquist legend Willie Tyler and his dummy, "Lester," will perform. On Tuesday, Sept. 19, Jay Johnson, who starred in the classic sitcom "Soap" and who is currently starring on Broadway in the one-man show "The Two and Only," and his dummy, "Darwin," will be featured. Ventriloquist Ronn Lucas and "Scorch" visit on Wednesday, Sept. 20, while Jeff Dunham and "Walter" appear on Thursday, Sept. 21. Rounding out the week will be ventriloquist Todd Oliver who performs with "Irving" on Friday, Sept. 22. Also featured on the LATE SHOW that week will be self-help guru Dr. Phil McGraw (Sept. 18); actor Patrick Dempsey (Sept. 19); actress Marg Helgenberger from television's most-watched scripted drama, CBS' "CSI: Crime Scene Investigation" (Sept. 20); media mogul Ted Turner and musical guest Fergie (Sept. 21); and Cleveland Cavaliers basketball star LeBron James and musical guest Ludacris (Sept. 22). The LATE SHOW with DAVID LETTERMAN is a production of Worldwide Pants Incorporated. Maria Pope, Barbara Gaines, Rob Burnett and Jude Brennan are the executive producers.
