CBS WINS THURSDAY IN VIEWERS FOR THE THIRD CONSECUTIVE WEEK

CBS Is First in Adults 25-54 for the Second Straight Week

  "Survivor:  Cook Islands" Tops "Ugly Betty" Again in Viewers and

Key Demographics

  "CSI" and "Shark" Are Strong Second in Their Respective Time Periods

              CBS won Thursdays in viewers for the third consecutive and placed first in adults 25-54 for the second straight week, according to Nielsen live plus same day ratings for Oct. 5.

               At 8:00 PM, the fourth episode of SURVIVOR: COOK ISLANDS won its time slot in viewers (15.83m), adults 25-54 (6.7/17), adults 18-49 (5.6/16) and was second in households (9.4/15, -0.2 behind ABC).  Compared to last week, SURVIVOR retained 98% of its household delivery (from 9.6/16), 92% of adults 25-54 (from 7.3/18), 95% in adults 18-49 (from 5.9/16) and 94% of viewers (from 16.85m).   

           SURVIVOR: COOK ISLANDS topped "Ugly Betty" for the second consecutive week in adults 18-49 (vs. 4.5/13, +24%), adults 25-54 (vs. 5.3/13, +26%), viewers (vs. 14.26m, +1.57m viewers or +11%). 

            SURVIVOR: COOK ISLANDS increased its delivery in the second half-hour:  +9% in households (9.8/15 from 9.0/15), +13% in adults 25-54 (7.1/17 from 6.3/17), +15% in adults 18-49 (6.0/16 from 5.2/15) and added +1.66m viewers (16.66m from 15.00m, +11%). 

             At 9:00 PM, CSI was a solid second in households (13.5/20), viewers (21.51m), adults 25-54 (9.0/20) and adults 18-49 (7.3/18).   

          SHARK was second in households (9.2/15), viewers (13.75m), adults 18-49 (3.8/10) and adults 25-54 (4.9/12).    

          From 9:00-11:00PM, CBS's two dramas topped ABC's two dramas in viewers (17.69m vs. 16.07m, +10%) for the second consecutive night. 

        For the night, CBS was first in households (10.7/17), viewers (17.07m), adults 25-54 (6.9/17) and second in adults 18-49 (5.6/15, -0.3 behind ABC).
