ESPN ANALYST MARK SCHLERETH TO APPEAR ON "GUIDING LIGHT," THURSDAY, JUNE 14 ON THE CBS TELEVISION NETWORK

            ESPN analyst Mark Schlereth will make an appearance on GUIDING LIGHT, Thursday, June 14 (check local listings). Schlereth will play Detective Roc Hoover, a member of the NYPD who writes crime novels in his spare time.  He comes to Springfield for a publicity tour of his latest book and catches up with his buddy Jeffrey O'Neill (Bradley Cole).

           Schlereth played offensive guard for the Washington Redskins from 1989-1994.  He went on to play for the Denver Broncos from 1995-2000 where he was a member of two championship teams in 1998 and 1999.  In 2001, Schlereth joined ESPN as a television analyst where his duties included television appearances on "NFL Live," "Sports Center," "ESPN News," as well as weekly contributions on various ESPN radio shows.  Schelereth currently writes a weekly column for the Washington Examiner and a biweekly article, "The Marksman," for ESPN Magazine.

             GUIDING LIGHT is broadcast weekdays (check local listings) on the CBS Television Network and is a Procter & Gamble Production.  This year, GUIDING LIGHT is nominated for Outstanding Drama Series.
