Reality television star Kim Kardashian speaks frankly about the issues surrounding her impending divorce from Brooklyn Nets star Kris Humphries when she and her sister Kourtney visit the LATE SHOW with DAVID LETTERMAN, Wednesday, Jan. 16.

Kardashian, who is currently dating music superstar Kanye West and is also pregnant with their first child, due in July, married Humphries in a lavish ceremony in August 2011, but she filed for divorce 72 days later.  Kardashian explained the current status of the separation to Letterman:

Letterman:  “Now, you’re still married to the former husband, Kris Humpries?  You’re still married to him.”

Kim Kardashian:  “Yes, I am.”

Letterman:  “Now, when are you going to wrap that up?”

Kardashian:  “Well, I’m trying, and it’s a process…I’ve been trying for almost two years now, um, to wrap it up, but it’s, you know, it’s hard.”

Letterman: “What does Mr. Humphries – I guess it’s none of my business – but what does he want?  Does he want his own show?”

Kardashian:  “I can’t speak for Kris, but I just want him to be happy and I want us to move on, and that’s really what I want, is just to move on.”

Letterman:  “…When the divorce comes through – and he wants an annulment, is that right?”

Kardashian:  “Yes.”

Letterman:  “…Why an annulment?  What’s the difference here?”

Kardashian:  “I don’t really know ‘cause even if we got an annulment – I would love to give him one but then that would make – the only legal way to get an annulment is if fraud were involved, so that’s what tricky.  So he is suing me for an annulment based on the fact that I frauded him into marrying him for publicity.”

Letterman:  “Oh, so he’s claiming that he was the victim of fraud.”

Kardashian:  “Yes, well, that’s the only way to get an annulment is if one person was frauded, so that was the case.”

Letterman:  “But fraud was not a factor here, is that right?”

Kardashian:  “Not in my case, no.”

Her sister Kourtney zinged back, defending her sister by saying, “But I think if she was going to do it for publicity, she’s pick someone that people knew.”  A laughing Letterman responded with, “Wow – ouch?!”

The Kardashians’ entire interview can be seen on the LATE SHOW tonight (11:35 PM-12:37 AM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network.

Also visiting the LATE SHOW tonight are legendary blues musician Buddy Guy, who, like Letterman, was an honoree at “The 35th Annual Kennedy Center Honors” in December.

The LATE SHOW with DAVID LETTERMAN is a production of Worldwide Pants Incorporated.  Barbara Gaines, Matt Roberts, Jude Brennan, Maria Pope, Eric Stangel, Justin Stangel and Rob Burnett are the executive producers.
