The 50th Anniversary of “Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer” Has An Adults 18-49 Glow, Dominating Its Time Period in Key Demos

CBS Wins Night in Viewers and All Key Demos

               CBS's two specials last night, RUDOLPH THE RED-NOSED REINDEER and VICTORIA'S SECRET FASHION SHOW both dominated the night in key demographics, according to Nielsen preliminary live plus same day ratings for Tuesday, Dec. 9.

At 8:00 PM,RUDOLPH THE RED-NOSED REINDEER (R) (S) with its 50th anniversary broadcast,  was first in adults 25-54 (3.9/10), adults 18-49 (2.8/09), children 2-11 (4.0/14), children 6-11 (3.7/14) and second in viewers (10.67m).  RUDOLPH topped “The Voice” in adults 18-49 (vs.2.2, +27%) and adults 25-54 (vs. 3.0, +30%) and also easily beat ABC's “Santa Claus is Coming to Town.”

At 10:00 PM, VICTORIA'S SECRET FASHION SHOW (S) was first  in viewers (9.12m), adults 25-54 (2.8/08), adults 18-49 (3.3/10) and adults 18-34 (3.9/14).  It also did a remarkable 5.1/17 rating in women 18-34. VICTORIA'S SECRET FASHION SHOW was the night's #1 broadcast in adults 18-49 and adults 18-34.

For the night, CBS was first in viewers (10.00m), adults 25-54 (3.0/08) and adults 18-49 (2.6/08).
