CBS WINS THE WEEK IN VIEWERS

Network Has 13 of the Top 20 Programs in Viewers, Including the Top Seven Dramas and Top Two Comedies and #1 New Show; Has Nine of Top 20 Shows in Adults 18-49

“Mom” Matches Series-Best Adults 18-49 Rating

“Elementary” Hits Season Highs in Viewers and Key Demos

            CBS won the week in viewers, with 13 of the top 20 programs in viewers and nine of the top 20 programs in adults 18-49, according to Nielsen live plus same day ratings for the week ending Dec. 14, Week 12 of the 2014-2015 season.

            CBS had the week's top seven dramas, led by BLUE BLOODS, NCIS (S), CRIMINAL MINDS, SCORPION HAWAII FIVE-0, NCIS: LOS ANGELES and THE MENTALIST.  SCORPION and CRIMINAL MINDS were the week's top two broadcast dramas in adults 18-49 and adults 25-54.

            THE BIG BANG THEORY and MOM ranked as the week's top two comedies, while SCORPION was the #1 new show.

Among individual series, ELEMENTARY hit season highs in viewers, adults 18-49 and adults 25-54 while MOM matched its best ever adult 18-49 rating.  THE BIG BANG THEORY was the top scripted broadcast in adults 18-49 with THE VICTORIA'S SECRET FASHION SHOW, RUDOLPH THE RED-NOSED REINDEER and MOM also placed in the top 10 among adults 18-49.

CBS Weekly Highlights:

 

NCIS: LOS ANGELES

  •  NCIS: LOS ANGELES was first in viewers (8.73m), adults 25-54 (2.3/06) and tied for first in adults 18-49 (1.6/05, with NBC). NCIS: LOS ANGELES was first in both viewers and key demos in its time period for the first time this season.

 

RUDOLPH THE RED-NOSED REINDEER

  •  RUDOLPH THE RED-NOSED REINDEER (R) (S), with its 50th anniversary airing, was first in adults 25-54 (3.9/10), adults 18-49 (2.8/09), children 2-11 (4.0/15), children 6-11 (3.7/14).  RUDOLPH topped “The Voice” in adults 18-49 (vs. 2.2, +27%) and adults 25-54 (vs. 3.0, +30%) and also easily beat ABC's “Santa Claus is Coming to Town.”

 

VICTORIA'S SECRET FASHION SHOW

  •  VICTORIA'S SECRET FASHION SHOW (S) was first in viewers (9.29m), adults 25-54 (2.9/08), adults 18-49 (3.4/10) and adults 18-34 (4.2/15).  Compared to the event on the same night last year, CBS was up +2% in adults 18-34 (from 4.1/10), even in adults 25-54 and adults 18-49. VICTORIA'S SECRET FASHION SHOW was the night's #1 program in adults 18-49 and adults 18-34.

 

MOM

  •  MOM (8:31-9:01 PM) was first in viewers (10.75m), adults 25-54 (3.7/10) and adults 18-49 (2.6/08).  MOM matched its season best adults 18-49 rating.  Compared to last week, MOM was up +28% in adults 25-54 (from 2.9/08), +30% in adults 18-49 (from 2.0/06) and added +2.14m viewers (from 8.61m, +25%). 

 

TWO AND A HALF MEN

  •  TWO AND A HALF MEN (9:01-9:30 PM) was first in viewers (9.30m), adults 25-54 (3.2/09) and adults 18-49 (2.3/07), posting its best viewers and adults 18-49 deliveries since its Oct. 30 premiere, best adults 25-54 deliver since Nov. 6.  Compared to last week, TWO AND A HALF MEN was up +14% in adults 25-54 (from 2.8/07), +21% in adults 18-49 (from 1.9/06) and added +1.20m viewers (from 8.10m, +15%).

 

ELEMENTARY

  •  ELEMENTARY was first in viewers (7.62m), adults 25-54 (2.1/05) and adults 18-49 (1.4/04), posting season highs in these measures. Compared to last week, ELEMENTARY was up +11% in adults 25-54 (from 1.9/05), +17% in adults 18-49 (from 1.2/04) and added +1.03m viewers (from 6.59m, +16%). 

 

Prime averages are based on the following hours of rated broadcasts in Week #12:

 

CBS – 22 hours.

NBC – 21 ½- hours.

ABC – 22 hours.

FOX – 15 hours, 35 minutes.
