CBS SWEEPS THE WEEK IN VIEWERS, ADULTS 18-49 AND ADULTS 25-54

CBS Up +16% in Viewers, +29% in Adults 18-49 and +26% in Adults 25-54 Vs. Year Ago

14 of the Top 20 in Adults 18-49 – More Than All the Other Networks Combined

CBS Has the Week's Top Nine Dramas and Top Six Comedies

CBS Has Seven of the Top 10 Broadcasts of the Season, Including the Top Three Scripted Broadcasts,
Top Three New Programs (“NCIS: New Orleans,” “Madam Secretary” and “Scorpion”),
Top Drama (“NCIS”) and Comedy (“The Big Bang Theory”)

       CBS swept the week prior to Christmas in viewers, adults 18-49 and adults 24-54 with double-digit percentage year-to-year growth in all key measures, according to Nielsen live plus same day ratings for the week ending Dec. 21.  

     CBS dominated the week with 15 of the top 20 broadcasts in viewers and adults 25-54 and 14 of the top 20 in adults 18-49, more than all the other networks combined.

     The Network had the week's top nine dramas (NCIS, NCIS: NEW ORLEANS, SCORPION, NCIS: LOS ANGELES, PERSON OF INTEREST, THE MENTALIST, ELEMENTARY, CSI: CRIME SCENE INVESTIGATION and BLUE BLOODS (R)).

     CBS also had the top six comedies (THE BIG BANG THEORY (R), MOM, TWO AND A HALF MEN, MIKE & MOLLY, 2 BROKE GIRLS and THE McCARTHYS).

     Nearly midway through the season, CBS is first in viewers and adults 25-54 (tie) and second in adults 18-49.

     CBS has the seven of the season's top 10 broadcasts and 12 of the top 20, including the top three new series (NCIS: NEW ORLEANS, MADAM SECRETARY and SCORPION).

NCIS: LOS ANGELES

  •  NCIS: LOS ANGELES (9:59-11:00 PM) was first in viewers (9.54m), adults 25-54 (2.2/06) and adults 18-49 (1.6/05) for the second consecutive Monday. This was NCIS: LOS ANGELES' largest audience of the season.

 

SURVIVOR

  •  The season finale of SURVIVOR(8:00-10:16 PM) was first in viewers (9.79m), adults 25-54 (3.3/09) and adults 18-49 (2.4/08), and was the night's top program in these measures. 

 

THE AMAZING RACE

  •  The season finale of THE AMAZING RACEwas first in viewers (6.59m), adults 25-54 (1.8/06) and adults 18-49 (1.3/05), posting its largest audience of the season, its second-best adults 25-54 delivery and matching its second-best adults 18-49 ratings. 

 

SATURDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL

  •  SATURDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL (S) (8:27 PM-12:17 AM) delivered a 8.0/15 with 12.96m viewers, 4.7/15 in adults 25-54, 3.9/15 in adults 18-49, 6.6/21 in men 25-54 and 5.5/12 in men 18-49.
