10 CBS SERIES DELIVER SEASON-HIGH RATINGS AS NETWORK WINS THE FIRST FULL WEEK OF THE NEW YEAR IN VIEWERS

“2 Broke Girls,” “Mike & Molly,” “NCIS: Los Angeles,” “NCIS,” “ NCIS: New Orleans,” “The Big Bang Theory,” “Mom,” “Elementary,” “Hawaii Five-0” and “Blue Bloods” All Surge in Their Holiday Return

CBS Has 13 of the Top 20 in Viewers and 9 of the Top 20 In Adults 18-49

             CBS won the first full week of the New Year in viewers as 10 series delivered season-high ratings, according to Nielsen live plus same day ratings for the week ending Jan. 11.

             2 BROKE GIRLS, MIKE & MOLLY, NCIS, NCIS: NEW ORLEANS, NCIS: LOS ANGELES, THE BIG BANG THEORY, MOM, ELEMENTARY, HAWAII FIVE-0 and BLUE BLOODS all surged to new season highs in their post-holiday returns.

             In all, CBS had 13 of the top 20 programs in viewers, more than all the other networks combined, and nine of the top 20 in adults 18-49, more than any other network.

 CBS's late-running AFC DIVISIONAL PLAYOFF SUNDAY (S) delivered 46.21m viewers, 17.0/40 in adults 25-54 and 14.4/40 in adults 18-49 from 7:00-7:53 PM.

  •  2 BROKE GIRLSwas first in viewers (9.08m), adults 25-54 (3.3/09) and second in adults 18-49 (2.4/07, -0.2 behind FOX), posting season best deliveries in viewers and adults 25-54 and matching season highs in adults 18-49. 

 

MIKE & MOLLY

  •  MIKE & MOLLYwas first in viewers (9.64m), adults 25-54 (3.2/08) and second in adults 18-49 (2.2/06), season highs in all these measures.     

 

NCIS: LOS ANGELES

  •  NCIS: LOS ANGELES (9:59-11:00 PM) was first in viewers (11.90m), tied for first with ABC's third hour of “The Bachelor” in adults 25-54 (2.8/07) and was second in adults 18-49 (2.0/06).  NCIS: LOS ANGELES delivered the time period's largest audience with a regularly scheduled, in-season program since Sept. 19, 2011 and largest audience with a regularly scheduled program overall since Sept. 16, 2013. It also posted its best ratings of the season in both adults 25-54 and adults 18-49. 

 

NCIS

  •  NCISwas first in viewers (19.76m), adults 25-54 (4.2/11) and adults 18-49 (2.8/09).  NCISposted its largest audience since Jan. 7, 2014 (same night last year) and best deliveries in both adults 25-54 and adults 18-49 since Sept. 23.

 

NCIS: NEW ORLEANS

  •  NCIS: NEW ORLEANS was first in viewers (17.73m), adults 25-54 (3.7/09) and adults 18-49 (2.5/07), delivering its largest audience to date and matching its series-best adults 18-49 rating.

 

THE BIG BANG THEORY

  •  THE BIG BANG THEORYwas first in viewers (18.11m), adults 25-54 (6.1/17) and adults 18-49 (4.6/15).  THE BIG BANG THEORY posted its best viewers delivery since April 3, 2014, its best adults 25-54 rating since Nov.13, its best adults 18-49 rating since Monday, Oct. 20 and its best Thursday adults 18-49 rating of the season. 

 

MOM

  •  MOMwas first in viewers (12.29m) and adults 25-54 (3.9/10) and was second in adults 18-49 (2.7/08), scoring series highs in these measures. 

 

ELEMENTARY

  •  ELEMENTARYwas first in viewers (8.60m), adults 25-54 (2.2/06) and adults 18-49 (1.5/05).  ELEMENTARY posted its best adults 25-54 rating since May 1, 2014, best adults 18-49 rating since May 8, 2014 and best viewers total since March 13, 2014. 

 

HAWAII FIVE-0

  •  HAWAII FIVE-0 was first in viewers (11.46m) and second in both adults 25-54 (2.4/07) and adults 18-49 (1.5/05).  HAWAII FIVE-0 posted its largest Friday audience to date, and its best adults 25-54 and adults 18-49 ratings since Jan. 31, 2014.

 

BLUE BLOODS

  •  BLUE BLOODSwas first in viewers (12.86m), adults 25-54 (2.3/06) and tied for first with ABC in adults 18-49 (1.4/05).  BLUE BLOODS posted its best viewer delivery since Jan. 31, 2014, its best adults 25-54 rating of the season and matched its season-best adults 18-49 ratings.
