“THE TALK” TOPS “THE VIEW” IN WEEKLY AUDIENCE FOR THE FIRST TIME
“The Talk” Delivers its Largest Weekly Average Audience in Nearly a Year
“The Bold and the Beautiful” and “The Young and the Restless” Begin the New Year with Their Largest Audiences Since Last February
THE TALK outdelivered “The View” in viewers for the first time ever with first-run episodes and tied in key women demos, according to Nielsen live plus same day ratings for the week ending Jan. 11.
While THE TALK previously tied “The View” in key women demographics, this marks the first time original episodes have also finished first in viewers.
THE TALK averaged 2.95 million viewers, up +9% from last week and marking its largest weekly average audience since the week ending Feb. 14, 2014. THE TALK beat “The View” by +2% in viewers (vs. 2.88m). In key women demographics, both shows averaged 1.0 in women 25-54 and 0.7 in women 18-49.
CBS's daytime dramas also opened the year strongly as THE BOLD AND THE BEAUTIFUL delivered 4.05 million viewers, its largest weekly audience since the week ending Feb. 7, 2014, while THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS scored its biggest audience since the week ending Feb. 21, 2014 with an average of 5.11 million viewers.
