CBS SCORES THE MOST-WATCHED WEEK OF ANY NETWORK THIS SEASON

Out-Delivers NBC, ABC and FOX Combined

Network Also First in Key Demos, Posting Its Highest-Rated Week Among Adults 18-49 in More Than a Year

CBS Moves Into First Place in Adults 25-54 and Within One-Tenth of a Rating Point of NBC in Adults 18-49

CBS Up +127% in Adults 18-49, +100% in Adults 25-54 and + 70% in Viewers

With nine of the week's top 10 broadcasts, including the AFC CHAMPIONSHIP GAME, the season's most-watched and highest-rated primetime broadcast in key demos, CBS out-delivered NBC, ABC and FOX combined with the largest weekly audience of any network this season, according to Nielsen live plus same day ratings for the week ending Jan. 18.

CBS beat NBC, ABC and FOX combined for the week (14.22m vs. 14.14m).  The Network was also first in key demographics, posting its highest-rated week in adults 18-49 (3.4) in more than a year (the week ending Jan. 12, 2014).

Compared to the same week last year, CBS was up +100% in adults 25-54, +127% in adults 18-49 and +70% in viewers. 

            CBS has now moved into first place among adults 25-54 for the season (3.4, +0.2 over second place NBC) and is just -0.1 behind NBC in adults 18-49 (2.5 vs. 2.6).  

            CBS had nine of the week's top 10 broadcasts in viewers and six of the top 10 in adults 18-49.  NCIS delivered its largest audience of the season for the second consecutive week while Sunday's special broadcast of SCORPION matched its series-high adults 18-49 rating.

AFC CHAMPIONSHIP GAME

  •  TheAFC CHAMPIONSHIP GAME ON CBSscored a 22.5/35 in households with 42.14m viewers, 16.0/37 in adults 25-54, 13.9/37 in adults 18-49, 11.5/38 in adults 18-34, 19.6/44 in men 25-54, 16.7/45 in men 18-49 and 13.2/45 in men 18-34. This marks the season's best primetime deliveries of any broadcast in viewers and key adult and male demos.  

 

SCORPION SPECIAL

  •  SCORPION SPECIAL 1/18(S) (10:28-11:28 PM) delivered 12.29m viewers, 4.0/11 in adults 25-54 and 3.2/10 in adults 18-49.  SCORPION matched its series-best adults 18-49 delivery and posted its best adults 25-54 ratings since Sept. 29 (the second episode). 

 

NCIS

  •  NCIS was first in viewers (19.87m), adults 25-54 (4.2/11) and adults 18-49 (2.8/09).  NCIS delivered its season-high audience for the second consecutive week.

 

STALKER

  •  STALKER was first in viewers (7.87m) and was tied for first in both adults 25-54 (2.1/05, with NBC) and adults 18-49 (1.5/05, with NBC).  Compared to the last first-run episode on Dec. 10, STALKER was up +5% in adults 25-54 (from 2.0/06), +7% in adults 18-49 (from 1.4/05) and added +650,000 viewers (from 7.22m, +9%). 

 

HAWAII FIVE-0

  •  HAWAII FIVE-0 was first in viewers (10.59m) and was second in both adults 25-54 (2.3/06) and adults 18-49 (1.5/05).  The last three HAWAII FIVE-0 episodes are the season's top three episodes in viewers. 

 

BLUE BLOODS

  •  BLUE BLOODS was first in viewers (12.72m) and adults 25-54 (2.2/06) and was tied for first in adults 18-49 (1.4/05, with ABC).   BLUE BLOODS matched its season-best adults 18-49 ratings, posted its second largest audience of the season (just behind last week) and finished fifth for the week.
