ALL THREE EDITIONS OF "BIG BROTHER" PLACE IN THE WEEK'S TOP 10 AMONG ADULTS 18-49

The Premiere of "Zoo" Delivers the Summer's Largest Audience for a New Scripted Broadcast

Sophomore Season Premiere of "Extant" Wins Its Time Period in Viewers

"Under the Dome" Places First in Viewers and Key Demos

CBS Has 12 of the Week's Top 20 Broadcasts, More Than the Other Networks Combined

        All three editions of BIG BROTHER placed in the week's top 10 among adults 18-49, while the premiere of ZOO delivered the summer's largest audience for a new scripted broadcast, according to Nielsen live plus same day ratings for the week ending July 5.

        The Wednesday edition of BIG BROTHER won its time period in viewers and key demographics, finishing the week tied for fifth in adults 18-49.  BIG BROTHER THURSDAY, featuring the first eviction of the summer, also swept its time period, placing eighth for the week in adults 18-49 while the Sunday edition placed ninth for the week in adults 18-49.

        Among the Network's three original summer dramas, the premiere of ZOO averaged 8.2 million viewers, ranking as the summer's top new scripted broadcast. UNDER THE DOME swept its time period in viewers and key demographics, while the second season premiere of EXTANT won its time period in viewers.  

         Overall, CBS had 12 of the week's top 20 broadcasts, more than all the other networks combined.

  •  BIG BROTHER WEDNESDAY was first in viewers (5.88m), adults 25-54 (2.3/08) and adults 18-49 (1.9/07).
  •  BIG BROTHER THURSDAY (9:01-10:00 PM)was first in viewers (5.77m), adults 25-54 (2.2/07) and adults 18-49 (1.8/07), topping the night in key demos. 
  •  BIG BROTHER SUNDAY averaged 4.98m,1.7/06 in adults 18-49 and 1.9/06 in adults 25-54.

 

ZOO

  •  ZOO (P) averaged 8.18m viewers, 1.8/05 in adults 25-54 and 1.2/04 in adults 18-49.  ZOO delivered the largest audience for a new scripted broadcast this summer and the second-best delivery for a new scripted series in both adults 25-54 and adults 18-49.

 

UNDER THE DOME

  •  UNDER THE DOME was first in viewers (5.28m), adults 25-54 (1.6/05) and adults 18-49 (1.0/04). 

 

EXTANT

  •  EXTANT (P) was first in viewers (5.28m) while averaging 0.7/03 in adults 18-49 and 1.2/04 in adults 25-54.
