CBS WINS ITS THIRD CONSECUTIVE WEEK IN VIEWERS AND PLACES FIRST IN ADULTS 25-54 WITH SEVEN OF THE TOP 10 BROADCASTS

“Zoo” Is the #1 Scripted Summer Broadcast in Viewers as All Three of the Network's Original Dramas Post Across-the-Board Growth

All Three Edition of “Big Brother” Place Among the Top 10 in Viewers and the Top Five in Adults 18-49

CBS won its third consecutive week in viewers and placed first in adults 25-54 (tie), as its three original dramas all posted growth and all three editions of BIG BROTHER finished among the top 10 broadcasts in viewers and the top five among adults 18-49, according to Nielsen live plus same day ratings for the week ending August 30.

         ZOO, the #1 scripted summer broadcast in viewers, UNDER THE DOME and EXTANT all delivered week-to-week growth in viewers and key demographics. The Wednesday and Thursday editions of BIG BROTHER led their respective nights in key demographics, while Sunday's edition matched season-best deliveries on any night in adults 18-49, adults 25-54 and adults 18-34. All three were among the week's top five broadcasts in adults 18-49.

  •  BIG BROTHER (6.46m) was the night's top program in adults 25-54 (2.6/08), adults 18-49 (2.1/08) and adults 18-34 (1.5/07). 

 

BIG BROTHER THURSDAY

  •  BIG BROTHER(6.37m) was Thursday's #1 program in adults 25-54 (2.6/08), adults 18-49 (2.1/07) and adults 18-34 (1.6/07) up +5% in adults 18-49 (from 2.0/07) from the prior week.

 

BIG BROTHER SUNDAY

  •  BIG BROTHER (6.73m) was first in adults 18-34 (1.7/07) and was tied for first in both adults 25-54 (2.7/08, with NBC) and adults 18-49 (2.2/07, with NBC). Compared to last week, BIGBROTHER was up +8% in adults 25-54 (from 2.5/07), +10% in adults 18-49 (from 2.0/07), +13% in adults 18-34 (from 1.5/07) and added +580,000 viewers (from 6.15m, +10%).  BIGBROTHER matched season-best deliveries on any night in adults 25-54, adults 18-49 and adults 18-34.

 

ZOO

  •  ZOO averaged 6.18m, 1.6/05 in adults 25-54 (1.6/05) and 1.1/04 in adults 18-49. (1.1/04), up +14% in adults 25-54 (from 1.4/04), +10% in adults 18-49 (from 1.0/03) and added +330,000 viewers (from 5.85m, +6%) from last week.

 

UNDER THE DOME

  •  UNDER THE DOMEaveraged 4.60m, 1.3/04 in adults 25-54 and 0.9/03 in adults 18-49, up +8% in adults 25-54 (from 1.2/04), +13% in adults 18-49 (from 0.8/03) and added +560,000 viewers (from 4.04m, +14%) from the prior week.

 

EXTANT

  •  EXTANT(4.90m) was up +18% in adults 25-54 (1.3/04 from 1.1/03), +14% in adults 18-49 (0.8/03 from 0.7/03) and added +240,000 viewers (from 4.66m, +5%) from a week ago.
