CBS WINS IN VIEWERS FOR THE FOURTH CONSECUTIVE WEEK AND PLACES FIRST IN ADULTS 25-54 TOO

Network Has 11 of the Top 20 Broadcasts, More Than All the Other Networks Combined

NCIS,” “Bull,” “NCIS: Los Angeles” and “Blue Bloods” Are the Top Four

Dramas—All Delivering More than 10 Million Viewers

Bull” Is the Most Watched New Series While “Kevin Can Wait” Is the Top New Comedy in Viewers and Key Demos

CBS was the number one network in viewers for the fourth consecutive week to start the season and placed first in adults 25-54 for the third time, according to Nielsen live plus same day ratings for the week ending Oct. 16.

The Network had 11 of the week’s top 20 broadcasts, more than all the other networks combined. NCIS, BULL, NCIS: LOS ANGELES and BLUE BLOODS were the top four dramas, all delivering more than 10 million viewers over three different nights viewers while THE BIG BANG THEORY was the number one comedy in viewers and key demos.

BULL was the week’s most watched new series, and KEVIN CAN WAIT was the number one new comedy in viewers, adults 18-49 and adults 25-54.

NCIS

  • NCIS averaged 14.77m, the week’s most watched scripted broadcast.

BULL

  • BULL was first in viewers (13.00m) and averaged 1.6/06 in adults 18-49 and 2.4/07 in adults 25-54 retaining 89% of both its adults 25-54 and adults 18-49 lead-in. BULL was the week’s most watched new program.

SURVIVOR

  • SURVIVOR was first in viewers (9.06m), adults 25-54 (2.8/09) and adults 18-49 (2.0/08). Compared to last week, SURVIVOR was up +8% in adults 25-54 (from 2.6/08), +11% in adults 18-49 (from 1.8/07) and added +530,000 viewers (from 8.53m, +6%). 

MACGYVER

  • MACGYVER was first in viewers (7.44m), adults 25-54 (1.6/06) and adults 18-49 (1.1/05) for the fourth consecutive week. MACGYVER was even in adults 18-49 from last week.  

BLUE BLOODS

  • BLUE BLOODS was first in viewers (10.22m), adults 25-54 (2.0/06) and adults 18-49 (1.3/05). Compared to last week, BLUE BLOODS was up +11% in adults 25-54 (from 1.8/06), +8% in adults 18-49 (from 1.2/05) and added +390,000 viewers (from 9.83m, +4%). BLUE BLOODS was the night's #1 broadcast in both viewers and adults 25-54, tied as the #1 broadcast in adults 18-49.
