CBS WINS ITS SECOND CONSECUTIVE WEEK IN VIEWERS

Network Has Four of the Top 10 Broadcasts and 10 of the Top 20

Bull,” “Kevin Can Wait” and “MacGyver” Are the Season’s Top Three New Series

CBS Has the Week’s Top Six Dramas

In an atypical week that included the first Presidential debate and a bye week in the Network’s Thursday football schedule, CBS placed first in viewers for the second consecutive week of the new season, according to Nielsen live plus same day ratings for the week ending Oct. 2.

CBS had four of the top 10 broadcasts and 10 of the top 20, more than any other network including the top two new dramas (BULL, MACGYVER), top new comedy (KEVIN CAN WAIT), top two scripted shows (NCIS, THE BIG BANG THEORY) and top news program (60 MINUTES).

The Network also had the week’s top six dramas—NCIS (#2 overall), BULL, NCIS: LOS ANGELES, NCIS: NEW ORLEANS, BLUE BLOODS and HAWAII FIVE-0.

CBS Weekly Highlights

BULL

  • BULL was first in viewers (13.61m) and averaged 1.9/06 in adults 18-49 and 2.8/08 in adults 25-54, retaining 88% of its adults 25-54 and viewer lead-in and 90% of its NCIS adults 18-49 lead-in. BULL is the season’s #1 new program in viewers.

MACGYVER

  • MACGYVER was first in viewers (9.07m), adults 25-54 (2.0/07) and adults 18-49 (1.3/06) and was Friday’s #1 in adults 25-54 while tying BLUE BLOODS and HAWAII FIVE-0 as the top program in adults 18-49. MACGYVER is the season’s #2 new drama.

MACGYVER delivered more viewers than any other scripted program on the competition except “Empire.”

BLUE BLOODS

  • BLUE BLOODS was first in viewers (10.56m), adults 25-54 (1.9/06) and adults 18-49 (1.3/05). Compared to last week's season premiere, BLUE BLOODS was even in both adults 25-54 and adults 18-49 and added +10,000 viewers (from 10.55m). BLUE BLOODS was the night's #1 program in viewers.

NCIS: LOS ANGELES

  • NCIS: LOS ANGELES averaged 11.39 million viewers, its largest audience since Jan. 5, 2015.

ELEMENTARY

  • The season premiere of ELEMENTARY was up +9% in adults 25-54 (1.2 from 1.1), even in adults 18-49 (0.8) and added +750,000 viewers (6.03m from 5.28m) from its Sunday premiere on March 20.
