WLNY-TV “LIVE FROM THE COUCH” CO-HOST CAROLINA BERMUDEZ TO GUEST CO-HOST ON “THE TALK,” THURSDAY, JUNE 6

Carolina Bermudez To Join “The Talk” Co-Hosts Julie Chen, Sara Gilbert, Aisha Tyler and Sheryl Underwood

Los Angeles – Carolina Bermudez, co-host of WLNY-TV’s morning show “Live From The Couch” in New York, will guest co-host on the Daytime Emmy-nominated talk show, THE TALK, Thursday, June 6 (2:00-3:00 PM, ET), joining co-hosts Julie Chen, Sara Gilbert, Aisha Tyler and Sheryl Underwood at the table (co-host Sharon Osbourne will be away). Throughout the week, on-air talent from CBS stations and affiliates from around the country will be in Los Angeles to serve as guest co-hosts.  This will be Bermudez’s first appearance on THE TALK.

During the week of June 3, THE TALK will feature the following guest co-hosts:

  • Monday, June 3:  Angela Hill, WWL-TV, New Orleans
  • Tuesday, June 4:  Kathy Orr, KYW-TV, Philadelphia 
  • Wednesday, June 5:  Adrienne Bankert, KTVT-TV, Dallas  
  • Thursday, June 6:  Carolina Bermudez, WCBS/WLNY-TV, New York 
  • Friday, June 7:  Pat Harvey, KCBS-TV, Los Angeles

Bermudez came to New York City by way of Miami, where she began her radio career as a co-host on the “Kenny and Footy Morning Show” on Y100. Just two years after her start in the field, she was recruited to “Elvis Duran and the Morning Show” on Z100 in New York. A year after her arrival, the morning show began syndication.  Upon her departure, “Elvis Duran and the Morning Show” could be heard in 55 cities across the nation.

In addition to her radio career, Bermudez held the position of Senior Editor at In Touch Weekly magazine, and appeared frequently on programs like “Showbiz Tonight,” “Access Hollywood” and “Entertainment Tonight.”  Bermudez provided commentary on specials that aired on E!, VH1 and WE TV.  She also served as a freelance reporter for E! News and appeared as a recurring guest expert on “The Maury Povich Show,” “Dr. Oz” and “The Wendy Williams Show.”  In 2011, she starred in a recurring role as reporter Blanca Morales on the ABC daytime soap opera “One Life to Live” and appeared on the CBS drama PERSON OF INTEREST. She has also served as a guest announcer for the New York Mets on “Fiesta Latina” and “Merengue Nights.”

CBS’s THE TALK, daytime’s fastest growing network talk show, was recently nominated for five Daytime Emmy Awards, including Outstanding Talk Show-Entertainment. THE TALK features a panel of well-known news and entertainment personalities who examine current events, pop culture, contemporary issues, family, celebrity and the trending topics of the day. The daily one-hour series is co-hosted by Julie Chen, Sara Gilbert, Sharon Osbourne, Aisha Tyler and Sheryl Underwood. The hosts swap stories, challenge each other on issues and engage the studio audience and viewers at home about events in the headlines and their own homes. Show segments include guest interviews with entertainers and newsmakers, musical performances, how-to demos and appearances from extraordinary people with stories that engage and inform. The show was developed by Gilbert, who also serves as executive producer.
