UPDATED: CBS IN GROWTH MODE—SCRIPTED SERIES FUEL NETWORK’S WEEKLY AND SEASON GROWTH

Network is Up Versus the Same Week Last Year and Season-to-Date in Viewers

Growth Fueled by 13 of the Season's Top 15 Scripted Series Including Top Eight Dramas and Four of Top Five Comedies

           In a week that included three World Series games and CBS rebroadcasts on Wednesday and Friday, CBS posted growth over the same week last year and is now up season-to-date, according to Nielsen live plus same day ratings and most current ratings through Oct. 30.

           Compared to the same week last year, CBS is up +8% in adults 18-49 (2.8/08 from 2.6/07), +6% in adults 25-54 (3.7/09 from 3.5/09) and up slightly in viewers (11.03m from 10.99m).

           Through six weeks of the season, CBS is up +3% in adults 18-49 (3.4/09 from. 3.3/ 09), +2% in adults 25-54 (4.4/11 from. 4.3/11) and up slightly in viewers (12.74m from 12.69m) versus the comparable weeks last year.

           CBS's growth is fueled by a deep lineup of successful scripted series featuring 13 of the top 15 scripted series on television.  This includes the top eight dramas—NCIS, NCIS: LOS ANGELES, THE MENTALIST, CRIMINAL MINDS, PERSON OF INTEREST, UNFORGETTABLE, BLUE BLOODS and HAWAII FIVE-0.

           CBS also has four of the top five comedies in viewers—TWO AND A HALF MEN, THE BIG BANG THEORY, 2 BROKE GIRLS and MIKE & MOLLY and five of the top seven in adults 18-49—TWO AND A HALF MEN, THE BIG BANG THEORY, 2 BROKE GIRLS, HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER and MIKE & MOLLY.

For the week in viewers: CBS (11.03m), FOX (12.58m), ABC (8.87m) and NBC (6.52m). Season-to-date:  CBS (12.74m) is ahead of FOX (10.28m), ABC (9.70m) and NBC (7.24m). 

For the week in households: CBS (6.9/11), FOX (7.5/12), ABC (5.7/09) and NBC (4.1/07).  Season-to-date:  CBS (8.0/13) is ahead of ABC (6.3/10), FOX (6.1/10) and NBC (4.6/07).  

            For the week in key demographics, CBS was second in adults 25-54 (3.7/09) and adults 18-49 (2.8/08).  Compared to the same week last year, CBS was up +6% in adults 25-54 and +8% in adults 18-49.  Season to-date, CBS is first in adults 25-54 (4.4/11) and a strong second in adults 18-49 (3.4/09).  Season-to-date, CBS is up +2% in adults 25-54 and +3% in adults 18-49.

CBS Weekly Highlights:

HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER (5.9/09, 9.79m) was first in adults 25-54 (4.8/12), adults 18-49 (4.3/12), adults 18-34 (4.0/12). Compared to last week, HOW I METYOUR MOTHER was up +2% in both adults 25-54 (from 4.7/12) and adults 18-49 (from 4.2/12) and +3% in adults 18-34 (from 3.9/12).

2 BROKE GIRLS(6.6/10, 11.19m) was first in adults 25-54 (5.4/12), adults 18-49 (4.5/11), adults 18-34 (3.6/10).  2 BROKE GIRLS built on its HOW I MET YOURMOTHER lead-in by +12% in households, +13% in adults 25-54, +5% in adults 18-49 and added +1.40m viewers (+14%).  Compared to last week, 2BROKE GIRLS was up +2% in both adults 25-54 (from 5.3/12) and adults 18-49 (from 4.4/11) and +3% in adults 18-34 (from 3.5/10).

TWO AND A HALF MEN as first in adults 25-54 (6.8/15), adults 18-49 (5.5/13), adults 18-34 (4.0/11), second in both households (9.1/13) and viewers (15.29m).  Compared to last week, TWO AND A HALF MEN was up +1% in adults 25-54 (from 6.7/14), +4% in adults 18-49 (from 5.3/13), even in households and added +150,000 viewers (from 15.14m, +1%).  TWO AND A HALF MEN was the night's #1 program in adults 25-54 and adults 18-49. 

MIKE & MOLLY (7.4/11, 12.16m) was first in adults 25-54 (5.4/12) and adults 18-49 (4.2/10).  Compared to last week, MIKE & MOLLY was up +6% in both households (from 7.0/10) and adults 25-54 (from 5.1/11), +8% in adults 18-49 (from 3.9/09) and added +650,000 viewers (from 11.51m, +6%). 

HAWAII FIVE-0 (6.7/11, 10.70m) was second in adults 25-54 (4.0/09), adults 18-49 (3.1/08) – both behind FOX's baseball.  Compared to last week, HAWAII FIVE-0 was even in both adults 25-54 and adults 18-49.

NCIS was first in households (11.9/18), viewers (19.43m), adults 25-54 (5.6/14) and adults 18-49 (4.1/12) for the sixth consecutive week.  Compared to last week, NCISwas up +4% in adults 25-54 (from 5.4/13), +5% in adults 18-49 (from 3.9/11), even in households and added +20,000 viewers (from 19.41m).  NCIS was the night's #1 program in households, viewers and adults 25-54.

NCIS: LOS ANGELES was first in households (9.8/15), viewers (15.89m), second in both adults 25-54 (4.9/11) and adults 18-49 (3.7/10).  NCIS: LOS ANGELES posted its best household delivery and largest audience since Sept. 27, 2011, best adults 25-54 performance since Sept. 20, 2011 (season premiere) and best adults 18-49 delivery since Feb. 22, 2011. 

UNFORGETTABLE was first in households (7.1/12), viewers (11.25m), adults 25-54 (3.5/08) and adults 18-49 (2.5/07) against scripted programming from 10:00-11:00 PM.  Note:  FOX's "The X Factor" aired from 10:00-10:30 PM and was first in households, viewers, adults 25-54 and adults 18-49.  

THE BIG BANG THEORYwas first in households (8.9/14), viewers (14.54m), adults 25-54 (6.0/16) and adults 18-49 (4.6/13). 

-- CBS's late running football from 7:00-7:30 PM posted an 18.1/31 with 31.10m viewers, 12.2/31 in adults 25-54 and 10.8/31 in adults 18-49. 

60 MINUTES(7:30-8:30 PM) was second in households (11.7/18), viewers (18.56m), adults 25-54 (5.6/13) and second in adults 18-49 (4.1/10).  60 MINUTESposted its best deliveries in households since Nov. 16, 2008, in both adults 25-54 and adults 18-49 since Dec. 14, 2008 and largest audience since Dec. 19, 2010. 

THE GOOD WIFE (9:30-10:30 PM) was second in households (7.0/11), viewers (10.60m), tied for second in adults 25-54 (3.0/06, with ABC).  Compared to last week, THE GOOD WIFE was up +9% in households (from 6.4/10), +3% in adults 25-54 (from 2.9/06), even in adults 18-49 (2.0/05) and added +830,000 viewers (from 9.77m, +9%). 

CSI: MIAMI(10:30-11:30 PM) was posted a 6.4/11 with 9.97m viewers, 3.0/08 in adults 25-54 and 2.2/06 in adults 18-49.  From 10:30-11:00 PM, CSI: MIAMIwas second in these measures.  Compared to last week, CSI: MIAMI was up +3% in adults 25-54 (from 2.9/06), +5% in adults 18-49 (from 2.1/05) and added +200,000 viewers (from 9.77m, +2%).
