From CBS Home Entertainment And Paramount Home Entertainment
HOLLYWOOD, Calif. (September 13, 2010) - Explore the spiritual side of life and death when GHOST WHISPERER - THE FINAL SEASON arrives on DVD October 12 from CBS Home Entertainment and Paramount Home Entertainment.
The DVD includes all 22 fifth season episodes, plus special features with exclusive behind-the-scenes featurettes including cast and crew discussions of the season's five-year jump into the future and a look at "triple threat" Jennifer Love Hewitt as she navigates her way through directing the 100th episode. Included in the special features are webisodes and interactive games where you can become a ghost whisperer and cross over your own ghosts to the other side. Slam Internet (a division of Sander/Moses Productions) produced webisodes and the interactive original bonus features for the DVD Box set.
In the series, Jennifer Love Hewitt stars as Melinda Gordon, a wife and new mother with the unique ability to communicate with the earthbound spirits of people who have died - and now seek her help. The tense borderline between life and death that she navigates is dangerous, so Melinda's job brings with it lethal jeopardy - but also miracles. And now a new miracle and challenge waits for Melinda and her beloved husband Jim (David Conrad) as they welcome a son (Connor Gibbs), who has been foretold to carry gifts possibly more extraordinary than his mother's.
From Creator John Gray, Executive Producers Ian Sander and Kim Moses of Sander/Moses Productions, Executive Producer P.K. Simonds and Co-Executive producer and famed medium James Van Praagh, GHOST WHISPERER has garnered four Emmy® nominations. The spirited cast also includes Camryn Manheim, Jamie Kennedy and Christoph Sanders, along with guest stars Margaret Cho,
Chad Lowe, Bryan Batt, Greg German, Perrey Reeves, Barry Newman, Christine Estabrook, Barry Bostwick, Mike Farrell, George Wendt, Sarah Jane Morris, and more.
