KEVIN MENARD NAMED SENIOR VICE PRESIDENT, U.S. ADVERSTISING SALES FOR LAST.FM
Kevin Menard has been named Senior Vice President, U.S. Advertising Sales for Last.fm, the global online social music network recently acquired by CBS Corporation, it was announced today by Spencer Hyman, Chief Operating Officer of the online property. As part of this newly created position, Menard will oversee all U.S. sales activities for the site, in addition to building its sales infrastructure and overall strategic direction. He will work closely with Jo Ann Ross, President of Network Sales, CBS Television, and her team as they continue to integrate interactive and community-based opportunities into their discussions with key clients.
Last.fm, a social networking site tied to music, has 20 million users in over 200 countries, with the largest concentration of users in the United States, Britain, Germany, Poland, Brazil, and Japan.
"Kevin brings to Last.fm extensive experience in multi-platform sales, in addition to a wealth of industry contacts and relationships that will significantly boost our sales efforts," said Hyman. "He gets this part of the business like few others working in the digital space, and I'm confident he is the perfect person to enable us to take Last.fm to the next level."

Menard was most recently Vice President, Business Development at Heavy.com, a video broadband network targeting young men with original and viral video content on broadband, VOD/IPTV, and mobile platforms. There, he helped generate significant new business for the site, including developing new categories, building new sales tools and working with existing clients to increase their media buys. Previously, he worked in New Business Development for MTV Networks, concentrating on cross-platform sales amongst the MTV properties, including basic tier cable, supplemental channels and online. Prior to MTV Networks, he served as an Account Executive, National TV sales for Fox News Channel, where he helped develop new business and exceed sales goals. Menard has also served as Vice President of Sales for Alltrue.com, Director of Sales for Pseudo.com, and as a Sales Executive for the L90 Advertising Network.
