Surprisingly Diverse Offering of Titles Generates Much of the Buzz Ahead of World's Biggest Video Game Trade Show
SAN FRANCISCO - June 2, 2011 - GameSpot (http://www.gamespot.com/), the leading source for gaming information online, today unveiled its "Most Anticipated Games of E3" list. The list is a collection of 25 titles across platforms that have been chosen by the GameSpot editorial staff as they get ready to cover the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) at the Los Angeles Convention Center from June 6-9 (http://e3.gamespot.com/). GameSpot's coverage will feature five live webcasts of press conferences, a live stage show broadcasting up-to-the-minute programming, as well as features and previews of the biggest titles from the show.
The "Most Anticipated Games of E3" were chosen by the GameSpot editorial staff based on their personal preferences and years of industry experience. The games and their diverse offerings reflect the mature state of the current videogame console market, which began in 2005.
"Everyone is a gamer now," said Ricardo Torres, editor in chief, GameSpot. "With games becoming a viable form of mainstream entertainment, there's a refreshing array of titles that appeal to a wider audience, which is reflected in our choices for this year's list."
Gamespot will also be offering show-specific content on the GameSpot Video Network, which includes YouTube, Livestream and Ustream, as well as via its mobile channels.
