ECLECTIC GROUP CAKE TO PERFORM ON "LIVE ON LETTERMAN" WEBCAST, PRESENTED BY AT&T, TUESDAY, JUNE 28
CBS Interactive Music Group's leading concert webcast series, LIVE ON LETTERMAN, presented by AT&T, will feature the diverse music of CAKE in a live webcast concert from the Ed Sullivan Theater in New York City on Tuesday, June 28 (9:00 PM, ET/6:00 PM, PT), in support of their most recent release, Showroom of Compassion.
Fans can watch the CAKE webcast live or on-demand at http://www.cbs.com/late_night/liveonletterman/. In addition, the show is available live and on-demand through CBS properties, broadcast on select CBS RADIO stations, viewable live on CBS's JumboTron in Times Square, as well as via a live audio stream on Radio.com's mobile applications. The webcasts are also offered through VEVO's Web site, mobile and connected devices and syndication partners.
CAKE, an eclectic rock band formed in California in the early '90s, is comprised of John McCrea, Vincent DiFiore, Xan McCurdy, Gabriel Nelson and Paulo Baldi. CAKE first gained recognition in 1993 with the release of their debut single, "Rock 'n' Roll Lifestyle." Since then, the band has put out numerous celebrated albums, including 1996's Fashion Nugget and 2001's Comfort Eagle, as well as their sixth full-length album, 2011's Showroom of Compassion.
As a testament to the band's popularity over their nearly two-decade career, Showroom of Compassion debuted at #1 on the Billboard Top 200 chart, driven by the success of the catchy first single, "Sick of You." This album was released on CAKE's own Upbeat Records, and the band personally engineered and recorded the release in their own solar-powered studio, which generates more power than is needed to run it. The band will embark on a worldwide tour in July.
CAKE's LIVE ON LETTERMAN webcast will follow the taping of their performance on the LATE SHOW with DAVID LETTERMAN, which will be broadcast Thursday, June 30 (11:35 PM-12:37 AM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network.
Additionally, don't forget to tune into Beady Eye's LIVE ON LETTERMAN webcast performance on Wednesday, June 22 at (8:00 PM, ET/5:00 PM, PT) and available worldwide at http://www.cbs.com/late_night/liveonletterman/beady_eye/video/.
