GAMESPOT NAMED MOST INFLUENTIAL VIDEO GAME MEDIA OUTLET IN EEDAR SURVEY

 

Survey Of More Than 3,000 Console Owners Reveals GameSpot Is Most Influential Source When Buying Games

SAN FRANCISCO - October 13, 2011 - Gamers chose GameSpot (www.GameSpot.com) as the most influential video game media outlet, according to a survey by Electronic Entertainment Design and Research (EEDAR), the industry's leading global interactive entertainment business intelligence firm. More than 3,000 HD console owners in North America were surveyed. GameSpot beat IGN, Game Informer and G4TV among others.

  •  GameSpot ranked as most influential for both men and women 
  •  GameSpot ranked number one in influence for gamers between 18 and 24, and gamers from 30 - 54
  •  GameSpot is most influential for consumers earning between $25,000 and $100,000
