TECH JOURNALIST BEN PARR JOINS CNET AS CONTRIBUTING COLUMNIST
Former Editor-at-Large of Mashable Brings “The Social Analyst” Blog to CNET
SAN FRANCISCO, Feb. 21, 2012 – CNET today announced that tech journalist and entrepreneur Ben Parr will join the site as contributing columnist and commentator. Formerly editor-at-large of Mashable, Parr will bring his blog “The Social Analyst” to CNET, where he will cover well-known and upcoming companies within the startup ecosystem and weigh in on a variety of tech subjects – from his old stomping grounds in social media to the constantly changing consumer tech market. His blog launches tomorrow on CNET.
Widely recognized as one of the most influential voices in tech media, Parr brings to his work an eye for what entrepreneurs and tech enthusiasts care about: making sense of the competitive landscape and what it means to them as business people and consumers.
Parr joined Mashable as a writer in August 2008, became its co-editor in 2009 and editor-at-large in 2011. He is currently working on the launch of his startup, to be announced soon. His work has been featured in media such as Fortune, CNN, USA Today, The Los Angeles Times, CBS News, Washington Post and many more. Follow Ben on Twitter (@Benparr) or at Benparr.com.
