CBSSports.com Honored for Outstanding New Approaches - Sports Programming for A Game of Honor Web Series
FT. LAUDERDALE, FL. MAY 1, 2012: CBSSports.com was honored at the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences’ 33rd Annual Sports Emmy Awards in New York City last night. CBSSports.com, a division of CBS Interactive, won its first-ever Sports Emmy in the Outstanding New Approaches – Sports Programming category for their A Game of Honor web series.
Starting October 17, 2011, CBSSports.com webcast an exclusive 10-episode weekly original series leading up to the A Game of Honor premiere on SHOWTIME in December. A SHOWTIME Sports and CBS Sports production, A Game Of Honor revealing an unprecedented look at America's two oldest military academies-The United States Military Academy and The United States Naval Academy.
The CBSSports.com Sports Emmy was one of three wins for A Game of Honor including Outstanding Sports Documentary and Outstanding Sports Promotional Announcement – Episodic. Overall, SHOWTIME Sports won a network-best four Sports Emmy Awards.
While the Sports Emmy is CBSSports.com’s first, it is the second time the site has been honored as an Emmy winner.
