“FACE THE NATION” IS ALSO UP +24% IN HOUSEHOLDS, +32% IN VIEWERS AND +20% IN ADULTS 25-54 COMPARED TO LAST YEAR
CBS News’ FACE THE NATION was the #1 public affairs show on Sunday, May 13, placing first in both households and viewers. The CBS broadcast posted a 2.1/06 in households, 3.01 million viewers and 0.6/03 in adults 25-54, according to Nielsen live plus same day ratings. Editor’s note: FACE THE NATION’s second half-hour was broadcast contiguously across 64% of the CBS affiliates.
FACE THE NATION is up +24% in households (from 1.7/05), +32% in viewers (from 2.28m) and +20% in adults 25-54 (from 0.5/02) compared to the same day last year.
Season-to-date, FACE THE NATION is up +5% in households (2.1/06 from 2.0/05), +6% in viewers (3.00m from 2.83m) and +14% in adults 25-54 (0.8/03 from 0.7/03) compared to last season. FACE THE NATION is first in adults 25-54 (tied with NBC), season-to-date.
On the broadcast, Bob Schieffer hosted a discussion on same-sex marriage with Gov. Deval Patrick (D-Mass.); Ted Olson, solicitor general under President George W. Bush; Tony Perkins of the Family Research Council; singer Clay Aiken; Evan Wolfson of Freedom to Marry; and Mark McKinnon, Newsweek contributor and one of George W. Bush’s campaign strategists. Schieffer also interviewed Rep.
