“CBS SUNDAY MORNING” WAS UP +7% IN HOUSEHOLDS, +4% IN VIEWERS AND +10% IN ADULTS 25-54 COMPARED TO THE SAME DAY LAST YEAR
CBS SUNDAY MORNING was the #1 Sunday morning news program in households, viewers and adults 25-54, according to Nielsen live plus same day ratings for June 24. CBS SUNDAY MORNING posted a 3.2/10 with 4.30m viewers and a 1.1/06 in adults 25-54.
CBS SUNDAY MORNING was up +7% in households (from 3.0/09), +4% in viewers (from 4.15m) and +10% in adults 25-54 (from 1.0/06) compared to the same day last year. Television year-to-date, CBS SUNDAY MORNING was up +3% in households (3.7/10 from 3.6/10) and even in adults 25-54 (1.4/07) compared to last year.
Sunday’s broadcast was an update of CBS SUNDAY MORNING’s annual “Money Issue,” featuring Lee Cowan’s cover story on the disappearance of cash from the marketplace as consumers and businesses move to credit card and digital transactions; Tracy Smith’s visit to Columbus, Ohio, aka “Test Market U.S.A.,” where grocery chains, restaurants and some of the biggest names in consumer products test items on local consumers; and Martha Teichner’s look at the creative challenges that technology giant Bell Labs faces in a post-monopoly world.
