"60 MINUTES II" SEASON PREMIERE IS HIGHEST-RATED AND MOST-WATCHED EDITION SINCE JANUARY 2000


Second Episode Of "The Amazing Race" Is Big Demographic Winner, Leading Time Period In Adults 18-34, Women 18-34, Men 18-34, Adults 18-49, Women 18-49, Men 18-49, Men 25-54 and Adults 25-54

The season premiere of 60 MINUTES II (10.3/17, 14.35m from 8:00 to 9:00 PM, ET/PT) last night (19) won its time period in households, viewers, adults 18-49 (3.9/12) and adults 25-54 (4.9/13), according to preliminary affiliate based ratings.

This is 60 MINUTES II's highest-rated and most-watched edition since Jan. 11, 2000 and matches the CBS News magazine's second best delivery in adults 18-49 and adults 25-54.

At 9:00 PM, the second episode of THE AMAZING RACE (7.0/11, 10.13m) was the hour's demographic winner -- leading its time period in adults 18-34 (4.0/12), women 18-34 (4.8/13), men 18-34 (3.2/10), adults 18-49 (4.6/12), women 18-49 (5.3/14), men 18-49 (3.9/10), men 25-54 (4.3/10) and adults 25-54 (5.0/12) -- and was second in households, viewers and women 25-54 (5.7/13, -0.1 behind NBC).

For the night, CBS (7.8/13) was first, followed by NBC (7.2/12), ABC (5.8/09) and FOX (3.6/06). Fast National ratings are subject to change.
