CBS NEWS’ “FACE THE NATION” IS THE #1 PUBLIC AFFAIRS SHOW ON SUNDAY, JUNE 10

 

“FACE THE NATION” IS FIRST IN BOTH HOUSEHOLDS AND VIEWERS

SEASON-TO-DATE, “FACE THE NATION” IS UP +11% IN HOUSEHOLDS, +5% IN VIEWERS AND +14% IN ADULTS 25-54

CBS News’ FACE THE NATION was the #1 public affairs show on Sunday, June 10, placing first in both households and viewers. The CBS broadcast posted a 2.0/06 in households, 2.78 million viewers and 0.6/03 in adults 25-54, according to Nielsen live plus same day ratings. Editor’s note: FACE THE NATION’s second half-hour was broadcast contiguously across 65% of the CBS affiliates.

FACE THE NATION is up +5% in households (from 1.9/05), +7% in viewers (from 2.60m) compared to the same day last year.

Television year-to-date, FACE THE NATION is up +11% in households (2.1/06 from 1.9/05), +5% in viewers (2.95m from 2.80m) and +14% in adults 25-54 (0.8/03 from 0.7/03) compared to last season. FACE THE NATION is first in adults 25-54 (tied with NBC), television year-to-date.

           On the broadcast, Bob Schieffer interviewed Gov. Scott Walker (R-Wis.), Gov. Martin O’Malley (D-Md.), Richard Trumka, president of the AFL-CIO, Sen. Diane Feinstein (D-Calif.), Rep. Mike Rogers (R-Mich.) and journalists Bob Woodward and Carl Bernstein.

           FACE THE NATION is broadcast on Sundays at 10:30 AM, ET (check local listings) on the CBS Television Network. Mary Hager is the Executive Producer. FACE THE NATION is one of the longest-running news programs in the history of television. It premiered on CBS on Nov. 7, 1954. The program broadcasts from Washington, D.C., where Schieffer has spent more than 40 years covering government and politics. He has anchored FACE THE NATION since 1991. Guests include government leaders, politicians and global figures in the news.
