RADIO INK NAMES BEST PROGRAM DIRECTORS IN RADIO, LIST INCLUDES NINE CBS RADIO INDIVIDUALS
Top industry trade magazine Radio Ink has named nine CBS RADIO programmers from across the country to this year’s list of “Best Program Directors in Radio.” Those honored include Terri Avery, Operation Manager/Program Director, WPEG, WBAV, Charlotte; Carey Curelop, Program Director, KJAQ, KZOK and KPTK-AM, Seattle; Anne Gress, Program Director, WOGL, Philadelphia; Chris Oliviero, Senior Vice President of Programming, CBS RADIO; Dave Popovich, Vice President of Programming, CBS RADIO Cleveland, Program Director, WQAL, WDOK, Cleveland; Reggie Rouse, Vice President of Urban Programming, CBS RADIO, Program Director, WVEE, WAOK-AM, Atlanta; Jim Ryan, Vice President of Adult Contemporary Programming, CBS RADIO, Program Director, WWFS, New York, WCFS, Chicago; Greg Strassell, Senior Vice President of Programming, CBS RADIO; and Kevin Weatherly, Senior Vice President of Programming, CBS RADIO, Vice President of Programming, CBS RADIO Los Angeles, Program Director, KCBS, KAMP, KROQ, Los Angeles.
Radio Ink publishes an annual list honoring the best, brightest and hardest working programmers in radio. Individuals were nominated by their co-workers and chosen by the publication based on a variety of factors including leadership abilities, dedication to the medium, influence and track record of success. Honorees are featured in the current Monday, Oct. 18 edition of Radio Ink. Furthermore, Weatherly will be featured on the cover of the magazine, in addition to providing an in-depth interview.
