In celebration of the 50th anniversary of hip hop, CBS Sports will debut an original documentary, LOCK IN: A LITEFEET STORY, premiering Friday, August 11 (7:00 PM, ET) on CBS Sports Network.

The half-hour special, voiced by Billboard Top 10 selling recording artist and New York City native Lil Mama, will provide an in-depth history of Litefeet dance styles like the Harlem Shake, the Chicken Noodle Soup, the Tone Wop and the 5000 that exploded out of iconic Harlem basketball courts like Rucker Park and the Kingdome in the early 2000s. These dances quickly went mainstream as Sean “Puff Daddy/Diddy” Combs and Eve cast local dancers from Harlem in their music videos. The Litefeet movement was then reinvented underground both in the New York City subway and in dance studios to help spark the popularity of YouTube as well as the formation of some of today’s top dance teams, most notably The Waffle Crew.

LOCK IN: A LITEFEET STORY will also include first-hand accounts from some of the top dancers, DJs and artists responsible for pushing this movement to the forefront of hip hop culture including:

  • AG The Voice of Harlem, hip-hop artist featured on the 2006 hit song “Chicken Noodle Soup”

  • DJ Webstar, DJ and record producer who produced “Chicken Noodle Soup”

  • Mike B, fashion designer and stylist

  • SNS, rapper, producer and former litefeet dancer who pioneered the litefeet sound

  • E Solo, litefeet dance pioneer

  • ARNSTAR, rapper and litefeet dance pioneer

  • D Cole, Litefeet pioneer, producer, rapper and documentarian

  • Hype Girl, dance choreographer

  • Moe Black, dancer and member of the Waffle Crew

  • Goofy Kid, dancer and member of the Waffle Crew

The documentary is produced by Sammy Smith, Mitch Fee and Johnny Sweet. Emilie Deutsch is Vice President, Original Programming and Features, CBS Sports. Harold Bryant is Executive Vice President, Production, CBS Sports.
