CBS SPORTS SPECTACULAR PREVIEWS ADIDAS NATIONS CHAMPIONSHIP ON SUNDAY

CBS SPORTS SPECTACULAR previews the Adidas Nations Championship with the 2011 ADIDAS NATIONS CHAMPIONSHIP PREVIEW SHOW on Sunday, August 7 (12:00 Noon-1:00 PM, ET; taped).  The world's top basketball players, 18-and-under, will be selected to comprise eight regional teams from Africa, Asia Pacific, Canada, China, Europe, Latin America and the United States.  Teams partake in regional training and educational activities that aim to provide insight on what it takes to make it to the next level in their basketball careers.  The culmination of this program brings all eight teams together to train and ultimately compete in an international exhibition under the guidance and mentorship of highly esteemed NBA veterans, coaches and players of past and present.  The one-hour special also will encompass highlights from the Adidas Invitational and Adidas Super 64 Championship games that aired on CBS Sports Network on July 9 and July 26.  It also will include a preview of this year's Adidas Nations Semifinal and Championship games that will air a live doubleheader on CBS Sports Network on August 8Joel Meyers hosts the show, while CBS Sports' Bill Thayer serves as coordinating producer.

 

CBS SPORTS PREVIEWS 2011 PGA CHAMPIONSHIP WITH "PRELUDE TO THE SEASON'S FINAL MAJOR" ON SUNDAY

CBS Sports' Bill Macatee hosts the PGA Championship preview show, PRELUDE TO THE SEASON'S FINAL MAJOR on Sunday, August 7 (1:00-2:00 PM, ET; taped).  The one-hour special will include a round-table discussion with members of the CBS Sports golf team including Jim Nantz, Sir Nick Faldo, David Feherty, Ian Baker-Finch and Peter Kostis discussing who they think has the best chance of winning the 93rd PGA Championship; an interview with defending PGA champion Martin Kaymer; and a look back 20 years ago to John Daly's improbable PGA Championship victory in 1991.  CBS Sports' Sellers Shy produces.
