CBS SPECTACULAR DEALS FIRST EVER EPIC POKER MAIN EVENT CHAMPIONSHIP ON SATURDAY, OCT. 8

CBS SPORTS SPECTACULAR features some of the biggest names in professional poker as they compete in EPIC POKER: SIX-MAX MAIN EVENT on Saturday, Oct. 8 (1:00-2:00 PM, ET; taped 8/9-12/11). The six players remaining from the EPIC SERIES, which began with 252 elite players, vie for the $1,000,000 prize and first ever Epic Poker Main Event Championship ring. The Final Table will be comprised of No. 2-GPI ranked player Erick Seidel and No. 3-GPI ranked Jason Mercier; both competing for the No. 1 Global Poker Index ranking in the world. In their way are bracelet winners Hassan Habib and Gavin Smith, 1996 Main Event Champion Huck Seed, and top pro David "Chino" Rheem.  Pat O’Brien and Ali Nejad call the cards for CBS Sports from the Palms Casino Resort in Las Vegas, Nev.  CBS Sports’ Jason Ross serves as coordinating producer.

 

 

CBS SPORTS SPECTACULAR HAULS IN THE PRO-PULLING LEAGUE ON SATURDAY, OCT. 8

CBS SPORTS SPECTACULAR features the top pulling teams from around the country on Saturday, Oct. 8 (2:00-3:00 PM, ET; taped 9/10/11) with the LUCAS OIL PRO PULLING from Lucas Oil Speedway in Wheatland, Mo. Teams competing in the E3 Spark Plugs Pro Pulling Nationals presented by Speedcoman their heavy duty trucks and tractors with over 10,000 horsepower as they try to achieve a “Full Pull” by towing as much as 200,000 pounds down a 300 foot long track. Stan Shelton faces off against two-time defending champion Bill Leischner and wild card Steve Bunnage as they compete for the championship title.  Ken Stout, Leslie Mears and Gladys Crash call the action for CBS Sports.  CBS Sports’ Ryan Galvin serves as coordinating producer.
