(On Mississippi State’s Defense)

Mississippi State’s front four and linebackers are a load.  They are tough to block and tough to run against.  The players on the defensive line are as good as there is in the SEC.  Arkansas has struggled in some games and their special teams have bailed them out.

(On Arkansas’ growth)

Because of injuries and because of having to replace Ryan Mallett at quarterback, Arkansas has improved more than any team in the SEC this season.  When we saw them play early against Alabama, they lost their best pure defensive player, Jake Bequette, and defensive end Tenarius Wright.  They are a different football team without them.  They are back healthy and are two of the best players in the conference.  Arkansas is a much more dangerous team now than they were earlier in the year.

(On a Potential Three-Way Tie in SEC West)

People have to be aware of the importance of the rankings of the three SEC teams (LSU, Alabama and Arkansas) should Arkansas knock off LSU next week.  In this case, the second to last vote is the one that counts for the SEC should there be a three way tie.  Every voter needs to do their homework.
