(On Missouri’s Schedule):

Missouri has an opportunity to climb back in the race because if they can steal this game on the road, that would turn them around. They played very well against Georgia. The final score was misleading. After this game, the schedule turns in Missouri’s favor.  They have a number of winnable games leading into a home match-up against AlabamaThey could march their way into that game with a chance to make a big impact in the league.  This is the game they have to circle.

(Keys to Missouri-South Carolina game):

Both offensive lines have shown weaknesses handling the pass rush.  With the defensive ends that South Carolina has, and the injury problems that Missouri has had, it’s a big challenge for the Tigers.  But South Carolina has allowed their quarterback to be hit a lot.  It’s going to be a challenge for each offensive line.

(On Steve Spurrier Changing his Offensive Philosophy):

You turn on South Carolina tape these days, you see everything.  You don’t just see Spurrier trying to show off, trying to show how much he can trick opponents.  You see him dedicated to featuring his skill on offense and one of those players is Marcus Lattimore.  It’s common knowledge in football, that it’s hard to feature skill players on defense. You have to work as a unit, but you can feature mismatches on offense.  And I think Steve has embraced that the last couple years and that’s why South Carolina has positioned itself to compete in the league.  Since Steve was at Florida in his prime to now, the increased level of defense at linebacker, defensive end and pass rush defensive tackles has made it very difficult to win week-in-and week-out if you just depend on the pass.  And Steve has adapted.
