"THE NFL ON CBS" SCORES HIGHEST SEASON-TO-DATE RATINGS SINCE 1998 AND HIGHEST FOR AFC PACKAGE SINCE 1996

Season-to-date game coverage of THE NFL ON CBS through 14 weeks has a national household rating/share of 10.6/22, up 7% from last year at this point, and is the highest season-to-date rating average since CBS Sports re-acquired the NFL in 1998.  The 10.6/22 also is the highest for the AFC package at this point in the season since a 10.6/25 in 1996 on NBC.

  

The 10.6/22 season-to-date rating is up 7% from last year through 14 weeks (9.9/21) and up 8% from a 9.8/21 in 2005. 

  

CBS Sports national game of its doubleheader coverage, highlighted by the New England Patriots defeating the Pittsburgh Steelers to remain undefeated on Sunday, Dec. 9, is the second highest-rated NFL game of the year, earning a national rating/share of 18.4/32, up 46% compared to last year's 12.6/24 for the comparable doubleheader window which featured Denver-San Diego. 

 

THE NFL ON CBS boasts the top three highest-rated NFL games this season on any network with New England-Indianapolis the highest rated game (Nov. 4; 20.1/36) and New England-Dallas the third-highest (Oct. 14; 18.0/34).

  

Other games seen in THE NFL ON CBS's late afternoon window in Week 14 included Cleveland-N.Y. Jets and Kansas City-Denver.
