CBS SPORTS CROWNS WINNER AT "JEEP KING OF THE MOUNTAIN WORLD PRO SKI CHAMPIONSHIPS" AND "WORLD PRO SNOWBOARD CHAMPIONSHIPS" FROM TELLURIDE ON DEC. 29 AND JAN. 12, 2008

CBS SPORTS SPECTACULAR broadcasts the JEEP KING OF THE MOUNTAIN WORLD PRO SKI CHAMPIONSHIPS on Saturday, Dec. 29 (5:00-6:00pm E.T.; taped 12/14-16)  and the World Pro Snowboarding Championships on Saturday, Jan.12 (4:00-5:00 PM, E.T.) from Telluride, Colo.  Telluride, Colorado is the first weekend on the three-stop event series for the JEEP KING OF THE MOUNTAIN WORLD PRO SKI CHAMPIONSHIPS and the BaseCamp Music Experience this 2007-08 winter season.  An estimated 111 skiers and boarders from 12 countries will compete in Ski Cross and Snowboard Cross competitions.  They will race down Telluride's slopes, head-to-head, elbow-to-elbow, down the cross courses, hitting jumps, banked turns, waves and other modified terrain features.  Olympians Daron Rahlves and Casey Puckett, X Games contenders Zach Crist and Enak Gavaggio are some of the athletes expected to compete in Ski Cross.  Men's Snowboard Cross will include Olympic medalist Seth Wescott, French boarder and World Champion Xavier de la Rue, and U.S. boarding legend Shaun PalmerTrace Worthington, Kevin Delaney, Reggie Crist and Tracy Wolfson call all the action for CBS Sports.  CBS Sports' Bryan Lilley serves as the coordinating producer.
