THE NFL ON CBS continues its coverage of the 2008 American Football Conference Playoffs with the Divisional Playoff games as the No. 5-seeded JACKSONVILLE JAGUARS (12-5) take on the undefeated AFC East champions and No. 1-seeded NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS (16-0) live in prime time on Saturday, Jan. 12 (8:00 PM, ET).  The following day, the AFC West champions and No. 3-seeded SAN DIEGO CHARGERS (12-5) visit the AFC South champions and No. 2-seeded INDIANAPOLIS COLTS (13-3) on Sunday, Jan. 13 (1:00 PM, ET);

  

Saturday and Sunday's action kicks off live on the CBS Television Network beginning with THE NFL TODAY, the Network's pre-game studio show, on Saturday (7:30-8:00 PM, ET) and Sunday (12:00 Noon-1:00 PM, ET), with host James Brown and analysts Dan Marino, Boomer Esiason and Shannon Sharpe, along with NFL TODAY "General Manager" Charley Casserly, as well as reporters Lesley Visser and Sam Ryan, live from THE NFL TODAY studio at the CBS Broadcast Center in New York City.

 

NFL TODAY host James Brown sits down with Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback David Garrard and his wife, Mary, to talk about how he has battled back from numerous problems in his life including Crohn's disease, with the help of his wife.  Deb Gelman produces.

 

Live reports on each game will be given on Saturday and Sunday with Jim Nantz and Phil Simms from New England; and Greg Gumbel and Dan Dierdorf from Indianapolis.  NFC Divisional Playoff games will be reported on and previewed as Lesley Visser reports from Green Bay on the Seattle Seahawks-Packers game; and Sam Ryan reports from Dallas on the New York Giants-Cowboys game.

 

Sunday's NFL TODAY previews the San Diego-Indianapolis game as NFL TODAY analyst Bill Cowher breaks down the game film from the last time these two teams met in Week 10 when the Chargers knocked off the Colts. 

 

In addition, NFL TODAY analyst Boomer Esiason looks at the New York Giants and their chances of beating the Cowboys in the teams' third meeting of the season.  Jeff St. Arromand produces.

 

And, CBS Sports' Sam Ryan reports from Dallas on the other NFC Divisional Playoff game.
