VERPLANK, SCOTT, IMMELMAN, GARCIA, DONALD AND WEEKLEY TEE OFF IN "EDS BYRON NELSON CHAMPIONSHIP" ON CBS SPORTS, APRIL 26-27

The PGA TOUR moves to Texas this weekend for the EDS BYRON NELSON CHAMPIONSHIP as defending champion Scott Verplank takes on a field of the world's top players.  The third and final rounds will be broadcast on Saturday, April 26 and Sunday, April 27 (3:00-6:00 PM, ET, both days), live on the CBS Television Network.

Verplank, a Dallas native, was a long-time admirer and friend of Byron Nelson so it was fitting for him to win the first EDS Byron Nelson Championship since Nelson passed away.  Verplank defends his title in a strong field that includes Trevor Immelman making his first PGA TOUR start since winning the Masters, Adam Scott, Rory Sabbatini, Sergio Garcia, Luke Donald, last week's Verizon Heritage winner and crowd favorite Boo Weekley, Sean O'Hair, Justin Leonard, Mark Calcavecchia, Charles Howell III, Chad Campbell, Jesper Parnevik, Steve Elkington, Chris DiMarco, Tim Herron and Scott McCarron.

CBS Sports will cover all the action from the recently renovated TPC Four Seasons Las Colinas in Irving, Texas.  Nelson, one of the game's legends, has had his name attached to this tournament since 1968.  He was a fixture at this event, greeting players on the first tee and watching from the porch behind the 18th green where many of the players would stop after completing their round.

Nantz and Nick Faldo, CBS Sports' golf anchor and lead analyst, respectively, provide commentary from the 18th tower.  Peter Oosterhuis calls the action at the 17th hole, Gary McCord at the 16th hole and Ian Baker-Finch at the 15th hole.  David Feherty and Peter Kostis serve as on-course reporters.

Lance Barrow is Coordinating Producer and Steve Milton is Director of CBS Sports' golf coverage.

Defending champion Jay Haas returns to the Champions Tour's LIBERTY MUTUAL LEGENDS OF GOLF looking for his third consecutive title as CBS Sports broadcasts third- and final-round coverage on Saturday, April 26 and Sunday April, 27 (1:00-3:00 PM, ET, both days), live from Savannah Harbor Golf Resort in Savannah, Ga.

Bill Macatee and Bobby Clampett call the action from the 18th hole tower.  Billy Kratzert and Billy Ray Brown serve as on-course reporters.  Jim Rikhoff produces and Bob Matina directs.

The Liberty Mutual Legends of Golf Legends Division returns to its roots as an official team competition this week. The format will be two-man, better-ball, with the players on the winning team receiving a one-year exemption on the Champions Tour with the exception of the majors.  Haas will pair up with his Wake Forest teammate Curtis Strange, and take on a field that also includes former Ohio State teammates Joey Sindelar and John Cook and Houston products Bruce Lietzke and Bill Rodgers.  Other teams competing are Mark O'Meara-Nick Price, Ben Crenshaw-Raymond Floyd, Andy North-Tom Watson, Bernard Langer-David Edwards, Ian Woosnam-Sandy Lyle, Jeff Sluman-Craig Stadler, Tom Kite-Gil Morgan, Fred Funk-Scott Hoch and Mark Wiebe-Wayne Grady.
