Coverage of the 2008 Collegiate Nationals includes snowboarding, wakeboarding, beach volleyball, boxing, freeskiing, weightlifting, flowboarding and a music competition featuring bands from colleges around the country.  New competitions debuting are competitive eating and Ultimate frisbee.

Two new locations, Keystone Resort, Colo., where snowboarding and freeskiing occurred, and Boulder, Colo., where the wakeboarding and Ultimate frisbee competitions took place, were added to this year's event.  Other previous years' host cities Reno, Nev. and San Diego, Calif. held competitions for boxing and weightlifting, as well as beach volleyball, flowboarding and competitive eating, respectively.  More than 1,000 competitors from over 150 different colleges and universities nationwide entered the 2008 Collegiate Nationals, which ultimately crowned over 40 national men's and women's champions.

The competitions were taped in Keystone (3/29); Reno (4/10-13); San Diego (4/18-20) and Boulder (5/16-18).  Nineteen ninety-eight Winter Olympic gold medalist in freestyle skiing Jonny Moseley, along with Jenn Brown, host the coverage for CBS Sports and CBS College Sports Network.  CBS College Sports Network's Billy Stone is the coordinating producer of the Collegiate Nationals.
