JIM FURYK AIMS FOR THREE-PEAT AT RBC CANADIAN OPEN ON CBS SPORTS THIS WEEKEND, JULY 26-27

Jim Furyk returns to Canada to defend his 2006 and 2007 victories at the RBC CANADIAN OPEN as the tournament moves to the Jack Nicklaus-designed course at Glen Abbey Golf Club just outside Toronto in Oakville, Ontario.  CBS Sports covers all the action at Canada's national open, broadcasting the third and final rounds on Saturday, July 26 and Sunday, July 27 (3:00-6:00 PM, ET, both days), live on the CBS Television Network.

Bill Macatee will anchor CBS Sports' coverage of the Canadian Open from the 18th hole tower this weekend alongside Ian Baker-Finch.  Peter Oosterhuis, who won the 1981 Canadian Open, calls the action at the 17th hole, and Peter Kostis calls the action at the 16th hole.   David Feherty and Bobby Clampett serve as on-course reporters.

Lance Barrow is Coordinating Producer of CBS Sports' golf coverage. Steve Milton directs.  Harold Bryant is Vice President, Production, CBS Sports.

Last year at the North Course at Angus Glen Golf Club outside Toronto, Furyk won his second consecutive Canadian title when he out-lasted 2004 Canadian Open champion Vijay Singh by a stroke.  Furyk was the first back-to-back winner at the Canadian Open since Jim Ferrier in 1950 and 1951.  He is coming off a strong showing at the British Open where he finished tied for fifth.  Singh is the only non-American player who has won this tournament since 1995. Glen Abbey Golf Club hosts the Canadian Open for the 24th time since the inaugural event in 1904.  Furyk, who is currently ranked No. 10 in the world and 13th in the FedEx Cup standings, takes on a field that includes Canada's only major championship winner Mike Weir (2003 Masters®), No. 15-world ranked Singh, Fred Couples, Retief Goosen, Chris DiMarco, Stephen Ames, Steve Elkington, Mark Calcavecchia, Sean O'Hair, Steve Flesch, Tom Pernice, Jr., Scott Verplank, Corey Pavin, Camilo Villegas, Scott McCarron, Bubba Watson, Ryan Palmer, Larry Mize and Carlos Franco.
