“CBS SPORTS SPECTACULAR” SWINGS INTO OMAHA FOR ENCORE PRESENTATION OF “TD AMERITRADE COLLEGE HOME RUN DERBY” ON SATURDAY, AUGUST 11

CBS SPORTS SPECTACULAR airs the TD AMERITRADE COLLEGE HOME RUN DERBY presented by Miller High Life on Saturday, August 11 (1:00-2:00 PM, ET; original air date 7/7).  Eight of the top sluggers in college baseball compete in an elimination-style home run contest from TD Ameritrade Park in Omaha, Neb. to determine the nation’s best long-ball hitter.  CBS Sports’ Adam Zucker, Joe Carter and Tracy Wolfson host the one-hour special which includes a special salute to our military veterans and a guest appearance by former Major League Baseball and National Football League great Bo Jackson.  CBS Sports’ Jon Segal serves as coordinating producer.

CBS SPORTS SPECTACULAR COVERS ACTION AT “THE ALT GAMES: COLLEGE ACTION SPORTS CHAMPIONSHIPS” ON SUNDAY, AUGUST 12

CBS SPORTS SPECTACULAR follows more than 1,200 competitors as 21 college action sports champions are crowned during THE ALT GAMES: COLLEGE ACTION SPORTS CHAMPIONSHIPS on Sunday, August 12 (1:00-2:00 PM, ET). Highlights from the championship events, which ran April-August 2012, include skateboarding and surfing in Huntington Beach, Calif.; wakeboarding in Oklahoma City, Okla.; sand volleyball in Gulf Shores, Ala.; and ultimate disc in Boulder, Colo. Jonny Moseley and Erica Hosseini call the action for CBS Sports.  CBS Sports’ Jason Ross serves as coordinating producer.
