Saturday and Sunday’s AFC Divisional Playoff Games Earn Highest Ratings of Weekend

THE NFL ON CBS’s broadcast of the AFC Divisional Playoff game featuring the New England Patriots’ 41-28 win over the Houston Texans on Sunday, Jan. 13 (4:45-8:00 PM, ET) scored an average overnight household rating/share of 23.8/39, up 16% from last year’s 20.6/41 (Houston-Baltimore; 1:00-4:15 PM, ET).

Yesterday’s 23.8/39 overnight rating for the Patriots-Texans and Saturday’s 21.6/39 for the Ravens-Broncos were the highest-rated NFL Divisional Playoff games of the weekend.

Last night’s 23.8/39 was CBS’s third-highest Sunday AFC Divisional playoff game in the metered markets since the Network re-acquired the rights to the NFL in 1998 (26.2/44 NY Jets-New England, 2011; 24.3/41, Indianapolis-New England, 2005).

The rating/share for the Patriots-Texans game peaked with a 24.5/42 (5:30-6:00 PM, ET).
