WEEK 3 OF “THURSDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL” ON CBS AND NFL NETWORK DELIVERS +19% INCREASE IN VIEWERS AND +16% INCREASE IN HH RATINGS
First Three Weeks of TNF Up +20% in Viewers
CBS and NFL Network’s broadcast of THURSDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL featuring Baltimore-Pittsburgh on Thursday, Oct. 1 was seen by an average of 19.4 million viewers, according to Nielsen fast national ratings (Live + Same Day), a +19% increase from last year’s third week TNF game (16.3 million, N.Y. Giants-Washington, 9/24/14), and earned a household rating/share of 11.8/21, +16% from last year (10.2/17).
Through the first three weeks of THURSDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL, CBS and NFL Network’s game coverage is averaging 19.3 million viewers, +20% from last year’s 16.1 million, and has earned a combined national rating/share of 11.8/21, +18% from last year’s 10.0/17.
In Primetime from 8:00-11:00 PM, ET, CBS and NFL Network’s pregame and game coverage of Baltimore-Pittsburgh averaged 17.5 million viewers, more than doubling the competition: +265% ahead of FOX (4.8m), +207% ahead of NBC (5.7m) and +108% ahead of ABC (8.4m).
CBS and NFL Network’s HH rating/share of 10.6/18 in primetime also beat each of the broadcast networks: +266% ahead of FOX (2.9/5), +194% ahead of NBC (3.6/6) and +86% ahead of ABC (5.7/10).
The game peaked from 11:30-11:49 PM, ET in both viewers (21.4 million) and HH rating/share (13.4/27).
THURSDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL continues next week on October 8 with Indianapolis at Houston.
