Popular Drama Wins Prestigious International TV Audience Award, Presented by Monte-Carlo TV Festival and Eurodata TV Worldwide
MONTE CARLO, Monaco - June 13, 2011 - The series that launched the world's #1 television franchise, CSI: CRIME SCENE INVESTIGATION, was presented with the prestigious International Television Audience Award for a Drama TV Series at the 51st Monte-Carlo TV Festival on June 10, marking the fourth time that the series has been awarded this honor in the past six years.
The International Audience Awards are presented jointly by the Monte-Carlo TV Festival and Eurodata TV Worldwide to reward programs that delivered the highest ratings* worldwide in 2010 across five continents in three categories: Drama TV Series, Comedy TV Series and Telenovelas/Soap Operas.
Having just completed filming of its 11th season, CSI: CRIME SCENE INVESTIGATION is a fast-paced drama about a team of forensic investigators trained to solve crimes by examining the evidence. The series is one of the top-rated dramas in the United States.
CSI: CRIME SCENE INVESTIGATION and its spinoff series, CSI: MIAMI and CSI: NY, have created a global television franchise with all three series licensed in more than 200 markets.
