THE CSI FRANCHISE DOMINATE NOMINATIONS FOR PRESTIGIOUS INTERNATIONAL TELEVISION AUDIENCE AWARD IN DRAMA SERIES CATEGORY
Nominations mark first time ever in the Award’s history for all three series to compete in the same category
LOS ANGELES, May 1, 2012 – The most successful television franchise featuring CSI: CRIME SCENE INVESTIGATION, CSI: MIAMI, and CSI: NY have swept the nominations for Drama TV Series at the 7th Annual International Audience Awards which will be presented at the Monte-Carlo Television Festival.
The International TV Audience Awards rewards the programs that gathered the highest number of viewers worldwide in 2011 across five continents in three categories: “Drama TV Series,” “Comedy TV Series,” and “Telenovelas / Soap Operas.” The nominees were pre-selected among the fifteen best performing foreign fiction programs in 65 countries, i.e. almost 3 billion potential viewers.
The 52nd Monte-Carlo Television Festival runs from June 10-14, 2012. The Audience Award winners will be revealed on June 14 at a ceremony held at the Grimaldi Forum in Monaco.
CSI: CRIME SCENE INVESTIGATION and its spinoff series – CSI: MIAMI and CSI: NY – are a global television franchise with all three series licensed in over 200 markets.
