ENTERTAINMENT TONIGHT: ANN ROMNEY ON RECENT MS SCARE ON CAMPAIGN TRAIL

April 25, 2012 (New York, NY) -- Although her husband Mitt Romney is the presumptive Republican presidential nominee, Ann Romney's battle with multiple sclerosis hasn't stopped for the campaign trail.

The mom of five sons has suffered from the debilitating autoimmune disease since the late '90s, and she tells ENTERTAINMENT TONIGHT's NANCY O'DELL that right before Super Tuesday, she suffered a scare.

Ann usually manages the disease by sleeping well, eating right and limiting stress, but that isn't always possible on the campaign trail. She says of the days leading up to Super Tuesday, "I was quite fatigued, and I knew I couldn't quit. I didn't tell anybody I was tired."

Ann said that she kept on going, but then suffered the consequences, telling Nancy, "You know, what happens with me is that I start to almost lose my words. I almost can't think. I can't get my words out. I start to stumble a little bit and so those things were happening and I thought, 'Uh oh, big trouble.'"

Tune in to ET on Thursday, April 26, 2012 to find out how Ann recovered from her scare, what surprising therapy she uses to get back into a healthy rhythm, and how her health is faring today.

HD clips are available for broadcast outlets.
