MOTHER OF MISSING MILLIONAIRE SPEAKS EXCLUSIVELY TO INSIDE EDITION

“Wherever he is now, he is at way greater peace than he was the last time I spoke to him.” – Ellen Aguiar

 – To broadcast nationally on Wednesday, June 27 –

New York, New York – June 27th  In an exclusive interview, INSIDE EDITION speaks with Ellen Aguiar, the mother of missing millionaire Guma Aguiar, who disappeared off the Florida coast last week.  According to reports, Aguiar, the Fort Lauderdale based CEO of Leor Energy, was last seen by an employee who watched him leave in his 31-foot private boat. The boat later washed ashore in Fort Lauderdale with no trace of the Florida businessman other than his keys and his wallet aboard.

His mother tells INSIDE EDITION about the trouble brewing in her son’s seemingly charmed life prior to his disappearance.

Aguiar had a history of mental illness and a couple of brushes with the law. He was also involved in a legal battle with his uncle over an oil company they sold for reportedly 2.5 billion dollars. But, Ellen says a lawsuit recently filed by his wife Jamie, attempting to void a prenuptial agreement –and saying she wanted a divorce – had devastated the father of four.

ELLEN: “How much can a human being take before there’s a disaster? It was literally a prescription for the perfect storm.”

Jerry Wadsworth, a CFO of one of Aguiar’s companies, tells INSIDE EDITION he witnessed the troubled marriage firsthand and described one heated exchange. According to Wadsworth, the exact words by his Aguiar’s wife, Jamie, were, “Guma—you must renounce the prenuptial agreement or I’m going to divorce you tomorrow.”

Now, Aguiar’s wife and mother appear to be locked in a war for control of his businesses. His mother recently filed to have a third party administer the estate while Aguiar is still missing.

Ellen tells INSIDE EDITION she will not give up hope until her son is found one way or another.

ELLEN: “Wherever he is now, he is at way greater peace than he was the last time I spoke to him.”
