Julie McNamara
Senior Vice President, Drama Development; CBS Television Studios

Julie McNamara was named Senior Vice President, Drama Development, CBS Television Studios in August 2004.  She reports to David Stapf, President, CBS Television Studios.

In her position, McNamara oversees the development and creation of all primetime drama series.  Most recently she developed the number one and number two freshman series "Hawaii Five-0" and "Blue Bloods" and "The Defenders" and priot to that, the hit CBS series, "The Good Wife," "NCIS: Los Angeles" and the CW's "90210" and "Life Unexpected."

Prior to CBS Television Studios, McNamara served as Vice President, Drama Development for ABC, where she was involved with "Alias," "Desperate Housewives" and "Lost." 

She joined ABC in 1997 as an assistant in the drama series department.  She rose through the ranks in drama development, she was named Manager in 1998, Director in 1999, Executive Director in 2000 and was promoted to Vice President in 2002.  Prior she served for three years as assistant to the president of The Eugene O'Neill Theater Center in New York.

She is a graduate of University of California, Berkley (B.A. Political Science).
