Tina Sloan

Lillian Raines in GUIDING LIGHT

In May 1983, Tina Sloan joined the cast, originating the role of nurse Lillian Raines. Sloan was educated at The Ursuline School and Manhattanville College.  She studied acting with Bob McAndrew and Warren Robertson. Sloan appeared in the Woody Allen films "Celebrity" and "The Curse of the Jade Scorpion."  Her additional feature film credits include "Changing Lanes" with Ben Affleck, "The Guru" with Marisa Tomei, and "People I Know" with Al Pacino.

No stranger to daytime television, Sloan had recurring roles on "Search for Tomorrow" ("Patti Whiting"), "Somerset" ("Kate Cannell") and on "Another World" ("Dr. Olivia Delaney"). 

A marathon runner, Sloan has completed races in Paris, London, Honolulu and Washington, D.C. and competed in the New York and Los Angeles Marathons.  She has also climbed Mt. Kilimanjaro in Africa and the Annapurna Refuge in Nepal. She describes many of these and other life experiences in stories written for her website, http://www.mysnowangels.com/

The actress lives in New York with her husband and son, Renny.  Her birth date is Feb. 1.
