Dave Price and Maggie Rodriguez from CBS News' "The Early Show" will anchor THE THANKSGIVING DAY PARADE ON CBS live from New York City, Thursday, Nov. 27 on the CBS Television Network. It will be broadcast 9:00 AM-Noon, live ET; 8:00-11AM, live CT; 7:00-10:00 AM, live MT; 1:00-4:00 PM, delayed PT (following CBS's NFL football coverage).
The special, a CBS Thanksgiving tradition celebrating its 48th year, will feature the 82nd annual Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade live from New York City, as well as performances by the hot country music duo Sugarland (winners of the 2008 Academy of Country Music Award for "Song and Single of the Year" and nominees for the upcoming American Music Awards) and the Broadway casts of "Mary Poppins" and "Grease."
Patrick Warburton (who stars in CBS's mid-season comedy series "Rules of Engagement") will offer an additional viewpoint of the parade as the "Man on the Street" as he reports and interacts with the crowd.
Singer Clay Aiken (currently in the Broadway production of "Monty Python's Spamalot") and CBS daytime drama stars Jessica Leccia (Natalia Rivera in "Guiding Light") and Julie Pinson (Janet Ciccone in "As The World Turns") will drop by to chat with Price and Rodriguez during the broadcast.
Price and Rodriguez will anchor from a site along the parade route in Times Square. The beloved parade is famous for its gigantic balloons of cartoon character favorites, fantastic floats and lively marching bands from across the country.
Emmy Award-winning producers Ricky Kirshner and Glenn Weiss (The Tony Awards) are executive producers for THE THANKSGIVING DAY PARADE ON CBS. Weiss will also direct.
