"THE LATE LATE SHOW with CRAIG FERGUSON" POSTS MAY SWEEP INCREASES IN VIEWERS AND ADULTS 18-34

"Late Late Show" Improves Its Competitive Position Versus "Late Night" in Viewers, Adults 18-49 and Adults 18-34 Compared to Last May

 

THE LATE LATE SHOW with CRAIG FERGUSON posted gains in viewers and adults 18-34 in the just concluded May sweep versus last year, while improving its competitive position opposite "Late Night," in viewers and key younger demographics, according to Nielsen live plus same day ratings for the period April 23-May 20.

 

In the May 2009 sweep, LATE LATE SHOW was up +8% in both households (1.4/05 compared to 1.3/05) and viewers (1.84m from 1.71m), +25% in adults 18-34 (0.5/03 from 0.4/02) and even in both adults 25-54 (0.7/04) and adults 18-49 (0.6/04) compared to last May. 

 

LATE LATE SHOW tied "Late Night with Jimmy Fallon" in the May sweep in households and improved its competitive position compared to last May (when NBC aired "Late Night with Conan O'Brien") in viewers (-60,000 viewers in 2009 from -260,000 viewers in 2008), adults 18-49 (-0.1 from -0.2) and adults 18-34 (-0.1 from -0.3).

 

In the 2008-09 season (most current), LATE LATE SHOW was up +8% in households (1.4/05 from 1.3/05), +10% in viewers (1.89m from 1.73m), even in adults 25-54 (0.7/04), adults 18-49 (0.6/03) and adults 18-34 (0.4/02) compared to the 2007-08 season.
